Rosslyn LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Tarik application and related services (the "Service"), how we use, share, and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We collect only what we need to operate the Service.
• Account identifiers. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email-and-password, we receive an opaque user identifier and, if you provide or share it, a display name and email address. Apple users may hide their email via Apple's private relay; we honor that. Passwords for email sign-in are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored by us in readable form.
• Purchase and subscription data. When you buy a subscription or one-time purchase, Apple processes the payment and provides us with non-payment-card information such as a transaction or original-transaction identifier and your entitlement and renewal/expiration status, which we use to grant and maintain access. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
• Reading activity. Stories you have read or favorited, and your current and longest reading streaks.
• Device and notification data. A push-notification token (if you enable reminders), the time and timezone you choose, and your selected narrator voice.
• Technical data. Basic server logs (such as IP address, user agent, and request timestamps) generated when your device contacts our backend, used for operations, security, and abuse prevention, and rotated out over time.
We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, contacts, photos, health data, or biometrics. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs and we do not show advertising.
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Family/kid profiles are an optional convenience created and managed by the adult account holder. Additional profiles and their reading progress are stored locally on the device and are not transmitted to or stored by us as identifiable child information; only the primary account holder's account record syncs to our servers. We do not ask children for personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us personal information, or you wish to review or delete it, contact info@rosslyncorp.com and we will promptly address it consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable law.
We use information to: (a) authenticate you and keep your account secure; (b) provide the Service and sync your reading progress, favorites, and streak across devices; (c) grant and manage your subscriptions, purchases, and entitlements; (d) send the reminders you configure; (e) maintain, debug, secure, and improve the Service and prevent fraud and abuse; and (f) comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you requested, including purchases); our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Service and prevent abuse); your consent (for optional features such as push notifications); and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
We share information only as follows: (a) with service providers and processors who help us operate the Service under contracts requiring them to protect it and use it only as we instruct — including Apple Inc. and Google LLC (sign-in, purchases, push delivery), Microsoft (authentication), and our cloud hosting, database, and operational-analytics providers; (b) to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to enforce our Terms; (c) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rosslyn LLC, our users, or the public, including to prevent fraud or abuse; and (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy. Content-generation tools used to create the app's stories and imagery do not receive your personal information.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Reading progress, favorites, and streaks persist until you delete them or your account. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and operations. When you delete your account, we delete your account record and associated reading data from our production database promptly; residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being rotated out. We may retain limited information where required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
You may at any time: (a) sign out from the Profile screen; (b) disable reminders in the Service or your device settings; (c) reset your local reading progress; and (d) delete your account and associated data from the Profile screen. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (which we do not do), and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. To exercise any right, email info@rosslyncorp.com; we will verify and respond as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and access controls that limit who on our team can access your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We work to protect your information, monitor for incidents, and will notify you and authorities of a data breach where required by applicable law.
We operate and host the Service primarily in the United States. If you access the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate, where data-protection rules may differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
Residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to know/access, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information. Rosslyn LLC does not sell or share personal information, does not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not knowingly process the sensitive data of, or sell the data of, minors. To exercise a right, email info@rosslyncorp.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and you may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
The Service does not track users across third-party websites or services for advertising, and therefore does not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals. We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your activity across services through the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Effective" date above and, if the changes are material, notify you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@rosslyncorp.com. Rosslyn LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.
